Just before half term we introduced Mrs Woodhead’s new Maths challenge.
Here’s a message from her:
Well done for all the entries to the KS1 and KS2 Maths Challenges last week. I’ve has chosen the winners.

KS1: The correct answer is 6 because each acorn was work 4. You needed to work backwards and do 10-4 to get to the answer of 6.

KS2: The correct answer is 20 because he will need 10 lots of 9 for the numbers 9 to 89 then he will need 10 more 9s to make the numbers 90 to 99.

Well done to everyone who took part – I have loved seeing all your mathematical thinking
