Letter to parents & carers 19.03.2020
Please see the attached letter which requires you to reply with the requested information for those of you who work in a ‘Key Worker’ role
You will have heard that the Government wants schools to stay open for the children of key workers as well as our children with certain needs. They have up to now indicated key workers will be:
· NHS Staff
· School staff
· Emergency Service Staff
· Care Workers for the vulnerable or elderly
· Delivery Drivers for supermarkets
We are still waiting for the government to publish more specific information on which key workers they mean. However, to help us try to get organised in the meantime if you could reply to us if you think all parents in your household fall into one of the above categories and your child lives with you. If you feel you are entitled, we will need the following information from you.
Child / Children's name, Year Group & Class
Parents names, job title & name of employer / company
If you meet the criteria you will also need to tell us if you intend for your child to come to school during the closure period so we can ensure our staffing and safeguarding arrangements are appropriate.
You will need to send your reply to this specific email address hpcovid19@holgateprimary.org and NOT the school office email.
Please note there is no need to reply to this if you are not employed in one of these key worker positions.
If you do reply we will be in touch as soon as possible to confirm if you are eligible or not. Thank you all for your support.
