An exciting Workshop for Year 1
Last week, Year 1 had a fantastic start to the Curriculum Vehicle - Explore: Fur, Feathers and Scales - with an exciting workshop!
They found out about the different types of animals people can have as pets with Kerstine from Lion Learners.
They held rabbits, guinea pigs, a tortoise, a duprisi, a bearded dragon (he was very small!) and some of them were brave enough to stroke a corn snake, hold a tarantula and some land snails.
They also saw a quail and salamander. We all learnt that you couldn’t hold a salamander as they absorb water from our skin and the chemicals on our skin would make the salamander poorly!
