Forums
Pupil forums have elected representatives from Years 1-6. A school adult leads each forum. This year our school forums are:
Pupil Voice Committee
One Year 6 member is elected by their forum to act as a Pupil Lead. They meet with Miss Davies and our Children’s Parliamentarians half-termly to share forum updates, join up thinking and look at whole school initiatives.
Our forums represent different areas of Holgate that matter to us. We pride ourselves on our Inclusive and Aspiration driven curriculum. Our forums reflect this.
In our reception area, we have a display where the forum folders are. The forums, alongside their adult lead, will update these folders regularly. This year we have also started adding updates to our school newsletter. From Spring term 2025, children in the forums will start giving updates in assemblies too.
Forum Week is held in the Summer Term. Each forum presents what their forum is focused on, what qualities a member of that forum might have and what they have done that academic year. Children can then nominate themselves and each year group votes for the new forum members for the next academic year.
YES! Any child from Years 1-6 can put themselves up for nomination during our Summer Forum Week.
No, only Year 6s who are part of a forum can represent their forum. Each forum will vote for these children to be their pupil lead.
