What a fabulous time we have had in our English lessons this week!

Reading extracts about Victorian Mining has made us think about the life and the conditions of children in the past. The children had to listen to the text, imagine and act out the jobs of trappers, sorters, drawers, choppers and bearers working down the mine. The empathy for these children working 12-hour shifts down the mines in the Victorian period was amazing. I think they now realise how lucky they are!
