There are lots of reasons why we choose a house: it’s location, nearby to shops, schools, places to visit, is it a safe place for my family etc. This week Year 3 have enjoyed researching facts about the Stone Age people. We had some great discussions about why and where they chose to settle.

Being a ‘hunter and a gatherer’ needs careful consideration about where to settle with your family.

Where would they find resources to build their shelters?

What would they hunt or gather to eat?

Would they be safe from predators?
