Creating Pulley's in DT
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Year 6 completed their Vehicle end outcome on the Ancient Egyptians. As part of this, they designed and created a pulley system which replicated how historians and archaeologists believe parts of the Pyramid of Giza was created. They learned how pulleys work and why they're useful, and then applied this idea to a pulley system. They designed and created a standing frame before attaching their working block and tackle pulley to lift different objects.
Year 6's teamwork and cooperation was amazing all day to showcase their knowledge and talents.
Many thanks again for those parents/carers who came in to help and it was great for them to see some of our curriculum work in action.
